Hey folks!
Well the ink arrived today and my printer is once again alive! I am currently printing a 27 page automata project similar to the heart featured in the video a few posts ago. This one is a plain white cube made of gears that rotates every which way! I'm going to build it, then decorate it, most likely with watercolors.
The gearcube is going to be a long-term project, and a difficult one I think. Here's a pic of the pages, as you can see, the cut\fold lines are so light they are invisible on photo, and not much better in person. I think this model was designed this way so it would be a nice, clean model, but screw that I'm gunna paint it once its done anyways lol.
I'm on a printing spree that way I don't run out of models to build even after I run out of ink!! I am currently also out of my cardstock, but that will be getting bought soon, so for now I'm only printing models I think will work well with standard printer paper. I think the Gear Cube would be a bit too heavy and difficult to do all the precision folds if i used cardstock.
I have a Boo (from mario bro's) finished that I'll post up wednesday, so come back for that one!

New PC and ink is almost here!!
SQUEEEE! Hey folks!
As I said in my last post, I've ordered new ink for my printer, and its almost here!! Its about 165 miles away in a USPS truck right now, so I should (IhopeIhopeIhope) be receiving it on monday!! I can't wait to start all the new papercraft models I've been waiting for!
There's also something new to me, I don't remember if I've posted about it before, but its called Automata. Now, Automata is still papercraft, but infinitely more complex and, IMO, awesome in a whole new way. Automata is papercraft that MOVES!! Here's a magnificent example:
I don't know if I'll be able to make anything close to that, but I'm going to try! In addition to Automata I'll be working on several Mario pieces (as I said before) and a few random models, including one I won in a contest over at www.paperkraft.net!
Also my brother is building me a new PC out of his old parts and a case\psu I shipped to him. Thanks Erl!
In addition to all that, I told you I'd be keeping you up to date on the whole low carb thing, well, I've lost 10 lbs! I'm going strong on the "meat and cheese" plan lol. I'll post details in a future blog.
Seeya!

Hey Hey Hey! It's Fat Zombie_slag!
Hey folks!
I've been fairly busy with life lately, got my Class A CDL with all my endorsements, that means I can legally drive a rig with any trailer (or two!) behind it. So watch out, that tanker full of jet fuel next to you on the highway may very well be yours truly!
Got a lot of other stuff going on as well. For those of you who read this blog for the Papercraft side of things, well bad news, I'm waiting on my printer ink to be shipped to me. HP 56+57 ink is waaaaaaaaaaaaaay too expensive! almost 60$ at wal-mart!! So I ended up paying around 20$ for it on ebay and waiting forever for it to ship. BUT! As soon as I get it I'll be working on my next model, which is a toss up between a few Super Mario Bro's characters. (I've got a feeling it will be Mario lol).
The biggest news is that I'm getting smaller! For now anyways lol. Being 5'11" and 250lbs isn't healthy. This has been brought to my attention plenty of times, but I've finally done something about it. Starting March first I went on a low carb diet and started an exercise regimen! So far I;ve lost 5 lbs (according to my messed up bathroom scale) but my goal is to get to, or under, 200lbs. At the rate I'm going I'll be a svelt 200lbs in only 60 days. I really don't see that happening but my goal is 10 lbs of weight loss each month on average.
Just to give you all a reference, here's me at about 15ish:
Here is me a few months ago after a 20 minute jog, at 27:
As you can see, its about time I drop the tireshop around teh middle. So you'll be seeing the progress here. Hopefully. I hope there's progress to post. Yeah.
See you next time!

Motorcycle Mechanic Self Training Program
Hey folks!
So I've loved motorcycles all my life, from the first time I rode a 250cc dirtbike in gradeschool to the honda 125 street my brother turned into a mountain climbing torque monster , to the cruisers and Harleys my buddies ride.
Problem is, I could never afford my own, be it street or dirt. Well I decided instead of buying a bike, I'd build my own. I went about cruising the back country roads looking for frames, forks, wheels, anything in a junk heap I could get for cheap. I found a few deals, but I wanted to go REALLY cheap, none of this 200 to 400$ I was being asked for rusted out heaps that didn't run. Luck be a lady I ran across this on my way home one day:
Now rolling up on ramshackle properties in the middle of the country isn't advisable, it can get you in trouble sometimes, as I've found out in my youth. This time it paid off though, as I picked this bike up for $50! Not very much rust, the frame is in perfect condition, tank is dented but doesn't leak, has all the lights and electrical is mostly functional (starter, taillights, left turn so far.) I'm calling this one a deal!
Now I'm no mechanic, but I know there are a few things I have to do to get this bad boy running again. First off, gotta get the repair manual, which I just got in the mail today! Usually I go with Chilton or Haynes manuals for any vehicle I have, but this time the only one I could find was the Clymer manual, which is apparently the source for all your ATV and motorcycle manuals.
Being the impatient sort that I am I decided that I would do what I could while I waited for my manual. Got a a used battery for just over 16$ (I'm going as cheap as possible for this bike) and brought it home. It wouldn't fit in the battery box, so I did a little "custom" work and smacked the hell out of the box with a hammer, bent it with pliers, and now the battery fits.
Once I had the battery hooked up I could test the electrical, what I found was that it was in decent condition, especially the ignition, which is the only part I care about until I get the bike running. One thing that I was wondering though, where do I put the key? I found out while stripping the bike:
So that made me laugh. Anyways, I decided to strip some gear off to make the block more accessible so here's my "after" pics:
So that's my project bike, hopefully soon to be my main form of transportation, So I'll be keeping you up to date on that as progress......progresses!

Hey Folks!
I'm back from the little holiday break and ready to go! I've been busy this past month, with the holidays, my band playing shows (got another one in 3 days!), getting my Class A license (Truck Driver license), tracking down motorcycles, fixing computers, etc lol.
So I finished Half-Life 2 and I'm looking forward to hl2 episodes 1 and 2. What I'm wondering is why are the fps that are being released lately not on par with what valve put out 3 years ago? Single player campaigns seem to have fallen by the wayside, which is fine for the MAG players (love MAG!) but there needs to be an epic standalone game for those who don't multiplay. Anyways, I think I'll turn the rest of that rant into a post over at theoryofgame.
As far as what to expect in the new year from me here, well, the description didn't change, so Whatever the hell I want to talk about! lol. Got the ViVi timelapse (start to finish) in the works, so anyone following that should be happy, gunna be working on a pretty slick Mario model next.
Did some fishing the other day, did fairly well too!
Glad to see the Packers win, lets hope my 49'ers get in there next season!
So Happy New Year everyone, and I'm excited to get started up again!
